Sunday Morning
Step outside into silence ringing clearly as a bell, feel it greet you, take your hand, welcome you, lead you on, show you peace as deep as sleep, Yesterday’s grass, trees, sky reach out to you with unsullied newness, Float through this vacuum in which it feels that only you draw breath, embrace the solitude, be at rest, be alone, not lonely. Explore this new world around you, explore the new world within you. Feel your body moving with the morning light. Breathe in, breathe out, now return to loved ones and bid them join you in another day of life.
