Faint smiles forced up from the gut, The suicide of an emotion never to be felt, Like an empty train picking up ghosts. They may aswell be spectres, Wallowing in the same muddy uncertainty, A deathtrap-feeding-ground for social influence. Real emotion becoming a dream to some, Feelings that move you without thought, Without a consequence of falling away. Had I been an angel... I would have fallen! But I sit here, playing host, to a party of the damned. Surrounded by loneliness and cocktails of spiritual vomit, Waiting for the Time-keeper to shut the door. 13 June 2004 (RSA)
