TAGORE---A CALL (Today is Rabindranath Tagore’s 150th Birth Anniversary. This is my homage to him) your presence is now like chlorophyll in the leaves like serum in the roots do fish live out of water living beingwithout oxygen your presence is now felt like the sun shine in our daily deeds and thoughts in winter summer or spring in happiness grief or loneliness you are my solace my recluse still I feel sorry that while uttering ‘Tagore is ours’ no one like dacoit Ratnakar said ‘we are for Tagore’ with an intent to listen to that clarion call I’m waitingeagerly to both sides of Bengal rajkumar@kolkata 09-05-2010 @rajkumar mukherjee Note:--It is said, Ratnakar was a dacoit, who became Valmiki and wrote the Ramayana by the grace of Goddess Saraswati.He was illiterate and being a devotee of Rama was able to utter only Mara In the first stage.
