Taking Flight

Falling down on shattered wings Caught in the downdraft of whispered things Hissing voices fill my ears Reminding of thos years So many moments wasted, Oh those lonely years Healing hands hold fluttering wings Brings back thoughts of tender things Tender voices surround my tears Lost track of moments passed On my own, but not alone I will take flight on these mended wings Catching the updraft of promised things Vision is clouded with blood thats spent Gales of weakness that won't relent Tears that fall and fall again Oh to fly.again,... to fly free... Togunes of fire fall like rain Burning skin while setting free Rusted chains no longer bind The peace I see I'll never find Swept away in scarlet tide To fly again, oh... fly free Yes I will take flight on these mended wings catching the updraft of promised things Vison is cleared by His blood once spilled Arms of strength and a love that's filled My tears of joy I'll no longer hide Oh to fly again... fly free One day soon I'll fly again My day is coming I'll dance among the clouds My day is coming soon Some days I anticipate Dancing because I anticipate Some days I can't hold back the tears I feel the burden of my years Oh to fly.... fly free Someday I'll fly free
