Thank you my enemy, You came into my life And made me realize what is more important to me, Thank you my enemy You gave me a wake-up call, You taught me never to take for granted Of what is important to me. My enemy you showed me the red flag You showed me cracks on the walls of my home And the holes on the roofing Thank you my enemy My loved ones were hurting inside But I was too blind to see My loved ones were trying to talk to me But I was listening with a closed ear My loved ones needed my attention But I was too busy Telling myself “they know I love them” Thank you my enemy for being more than a best friend You taught me that love needs to be natured Love needs to be revived Love needs time and attention Love need to be treasured My enemy I’ve now learned from my mistakes I’m now going to be a better person And I will make sure they know how I feel Because of you my enemy I can project a fruitful future with my loved ones My enemy I was mad at you Instead of being grateful to you For you made sure I’ll forever be happy As for the pain you caused me I don’t think I can call you my friend I guess that’s what makes you my enemy
