That Morning

That Morning Tear drops Pour like the rains Of a blistering hurricane My heart is torn You’ve left me Just up and walked away That morning, I kissed your brow Telling you that I love you And to have a good day Never did I think It would be My last words to you The last glimpse of your gleaming smile How I’ve wished for a replay Of that morning A million and one times So many things I would’ve told you Like how I was looking forward to A long journey of life with you And so many things I would’ve shown you Like the deeper side of me that you’ve always yearned for Our time seems to have ended prematurely I had so many plans But I guess you were needed somewhere else More than you were here with me I’ve wanted to question God As to why he had to take you So many nights I’ve spent With this question prevalent on my mind Oh how I long for a replay Of that morning I just want to see that gleaming smile of yours once more And that night as I slept I could feel your presences I could hear your whispers So vividly that I awoke To reach for you Only to find that you were not there And I sobbed Remembering that morning As I wished a you a good day Remembering that I had been blessed To have known you And to have shared your first moments Of your new journey It’s unfortunate that I can not see you For a while But I’m sure we’ll meet again Until then I’ll be remembering that morning And I’ll smile Because I bid you a good day And I shared with you That I loved you It was the last bid you’d have That morning I’m now smiling For I know you’re well
