The Arrival a village without street-lights even twenty years ago is now having facilities like early detection of sex of a child but long-acquired habits die hard their roots have gone deep into the earth like a Banian tree or an Oak she has conceived her second baby the first being a boy there was joy and sweets distributed merrily amongst villagers sonography showed clearly it’s a baby-girl sweet like a blooming flower the scissors are ready for the procedure the mother understandands cries- “don’t take the girl” but who cares who listens the blood floods the floor passes through the door to convey her arrival to the world rajkumar@kolkata 19-07-2011 Note: Abuse of a girl -child even before birth is rampant in some of the developing Afro-Asian countries including mine .This is my protest-line.
