He sits across the table, His three Aces craving blood, That is, if they are able, Game is high-stakes five-card stud My cards have caused the other lad To save himself, and fold, No other hand I've ever had Can beat what I'll soon hold Ten, Jack, King, and Ace I see, All Hearts; I ooze a smile, The Queen of Hearts will choose to be The next card of the pile Opponent bets all in a rush, Infallible, I call, The dealer starts to flush And lets my final judgement fall My hope now subatomic, My universe in shards, With sickness hard to stomach I resign, and fold my cards
