The Bathroom Taps
Time for a bit of humour. This is not too far from the truth regarding an event with one of my sons. [ Note: "taps" = "faucet"] The Bathroom Taps The bathroom taps are leaking dear We must get something done The cupboard's rotting down the rear, Where all that water's run. This vanity is horrible, The frame near rotted through. Replace it now, that's sensible, With something good and new. And since the twins are growing up Perhaps we'll get a double So both can do their making up— Would save a lot of trouble. To fit it in's the problem though, The space there's far too small... I know, we'll take the bath out so It fits along that wall. So then a corner bath will do Across the other side With built in spa, shower recess too, (Took no time to decide). ***** And now we need a plumber in, A builder, tiler too; The hardware store's deliverin' A heap of stuff that's new. Next time I'm going to take it slow And think it through perhaps; Ten grand's an awful lot of dough To fix two bathroom taps.
