The Battle for my soul

THE BATTLE FOR MY SOUL I'm just a bystander in the battle for my soul. Though the battle rages round me And the good and bad are there Not a hint of this fierce battle is apparent in the air. GOD's Angels sent to protect me and place a hedge around my being protecting life and limb and spirit without ever being seen. It's a promise HE has made It's a promise HE has kept. Long before the Earth was formed a promise that first morn. Demons attack my body imps attack mind. But I must fully realize, the battle is not mine. With that reassurance - I know that I will win. Just keep my mind of JESUS and stay from sin. For sin will weaken the boundry GOD put around my heart, and even thoughI'm a bystander I still must do my part pray and fast and trust the LORD It's such an easy task they say but, it's a little difficult in the light of day. temptation is all around me- even when I'm still. Do I do my own thing - or bend to JESUS' will? HE said HE would never leave me. HE said HE would forsake me not. But, I have sinned and sinned in my lifetime, yes, I have sinned a lot. But, HE still fights my battles HE will not have me lost. The day HE died on Calvary proved how much LOVE cost. I walk through a world of deception I walk through a world of lies. So I must keep my focus - and look only through JESUS' eyes. not heeding to the call of the world even when my ears they ache making GODLY choices daily - trying not to make even a small mistake.
