The Beguiling Beasts

·TheNightShift

The Beguiling Beasts The shapers of destiny, the vanguards of shame The faceless pretenders with omnipotent powers The creators of dream world, destroyers of faith The psychopathic inventors of acid rain showers The lords of misrule take a whip to their people And steal all that they have except their shame The uncontrolled beasts devour all in their way Naturally refusing to shoulder any of the blame They will drain every drop from their living dead Like vampires at night and bloodsuckers by day They squeeze the marrow and powder the bone They amputate respect and make the victim pay They are morally bankrupt, despised hypocrites They have the attraction of a smallpox infection But they’ll smile and beguile, and love us to bits To catch our votes in the forthcoming election
