The Black Room
No walls but no escape I feel you here: your scent, your step, your silence. Your mouth doesn’t move as you speak No lines, no blinks, no glances Is it really you? Does it matter who you are? Now the world is one. The magical stardust of life has merged to create one darkness One darkness that I cannot walk through Can I breathe it? How can soot float through my lungs? This is not my world. How can this be my world? The black surrounds you and takes you away Grain after grain of you slips through my fingers My memory ended I plunge my hands into a pile of darkness A pile of darkness that cannot love me; because now it is just another thing in my way. I am alone and trapped in my wall less, floorless, faceless world. Please God don’t let this happen Please God I don’t want to be blind.
