I close my eyes, and the world goes away The mosaic of life; against the ceiling of my mind My Sistine Chapel of Yes And I...am Michelangelo And later I shall be Monet Or Frederic Auguste Bartholdi Or Gustaf Eiffel... Perhaps I’ll be a twin, A Wright one that is... Oh! Lets soar the skies, but why just soar? Lets be Chuck Yeager, make a statement... and a bold one to, or lets be retro Find Eldorado!!! But why settle for gold? If altitude brings fame as well? I’ll follow Tensing Norgay For he was first they say; but so was Bram To bring us “creature of the night” And Edgar when he brought Greystoke Or Thomas when he brought light; I ponder in silence and I smile Hannibal Barca, Kublai Khan Booker T. Washington, Pyrrhus of Epirus George Washington Carver, Joan, Florence, Amelia, Rosa, Agnes, And Wittgenstein and Shakespeare The Bronte Sisters, well, well, well... across the stage of time. in the corners of my mind I ask myself this question: “What shall they say of me?”
