The choice to live, but which life to choose?

·Be

Deciding between two lives For you have steadily become my life Yet to live my life I must Walk away from you I understand the language of the hopelessly found When they whisper their sweet nothings “I would die without you” Yet to think the thoughts of the reasonable man I must know That life will go on Time will not freeze The hum of the city will continue to devour us And air will be plentiful still Will my many steps of growth be worth it in the end If I don’t have you to share them with? For with every little step I take I myself grow Yet grow further away from you Will I walk one day along the street And pass you with a smile? Will we stop and talk futile for a while? Will the future bare us the gift of yet another chance Or will we simply pass Without a second glance? Or will we succeed in this obstacle Of life on life’s terms All these thoughts consume my sleep When I’m lying in your arms So when I’m sleepless, angel Think not that I’m not tired But rather know that my love for you Has simply got me wired
