The Chronicles Of Crystal Black Pt. II
Crystal was a daddy’s girl Like an oyster to an oyster pearl Her relationship with her mother was a different story One that was guaranteed to make you hurl Crystal’s mom was a prostitute selling herself On the corner from nine to five every day Fifty bucks for thirty minutes She was all work and no play She also happened to have several STD’s But she never told her customers that ‘Cause if they found out they’d all slam her with lawsuits Then she’d have to go back to selling crack After work she’d always take a cab And head up to the nearest bar She’d drink until she could see herself Aligning with the stars Then she came home and Passed out on the couch Woke up with a hangover Acting like a grouch Then she sets out To do it all over again In the end it’s all gonna catch up with her And eventually she’ll give in Crystal did not think that This was a healthy life style for her mother The same opinion came From her cousins, sisters and brothers But that didn’t stop her From her selfish and irresponsible ways Not even the pastors at the local church Or how many times her children pray Although in Crystal’s eyes To the consequences her mom was blinded But she could always glance at the scars on her wrist To be unpleasantly reminded By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
