Crystal found a prescription drug And started taking it on a regular basis She soon developed an addiction with the side effects Taking her to all the wrong places But she didn’t care because the drug made her feel good They were given to her by her roommate She was now starting to get the munchies Then she remembered she hadn’t ate So she ordered a large, pepperoni pizza To satisfy her appetite Grabbed a beer out of the fridge drank it so fast Like it was the last day of her life Sitting on the couch All comfortable and cozy Watching a chick flick Starring Nick Nolte Then she got bored So she popped two more pills Smoked an ounce of weed Specifically for the thrill About two hours later She crashed on her roommate’s bed And when he came in he picked her up Careful not to injure her head He then placed her back inside The comfort of her own Her reflexes reacted and she grabbed his hand tightly ‘Cause she didn’t wanna be alone Her eyes were still shut but he didn’t care He decided to stay anyway So climbed into her bed to comfort her Put one arm over her body and faded away By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
