The next morning Crystal woke up A bit groggy from last night Then she turned and saw Lucas lying next to her Of which she was utterly surprised And so she asked him “What the hell are you doing in my bed?” “Are you trying to sneak in a quickie?” “Did you think I would give you head?” Then Lucas said “Not at all Crystal It’s not like that You see I saw you passed out on the sofa When I came back.” “So I carried you to your bed And you grabbed my hand Held it so tight as if you didn’t want me to leave My heart was telling me that I can’t.” “So I decided to stay with you To protect you from harm And quite frankly I don’t see Why you are so alarmed.” Crystal said “Well I appreciate you being there for me Even though I was asleep I could feel the warmth of your arms around me Causing my heart to rapidly beat Crystal looked deep into his eyes As Lucas gradually leaned in and They shared a kiss so passionate that It was hard for either of them to pretend By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
