The City
its the cars beeping at me to get out of the road lost in my thoughts again i guess and i run across the street and stare into the restorants and watch the people smiling their eating their laughing their holding hands i admire the love between them the chemistry hitting me in the face through the glass window and im holding a book with thoughts of another person written down and typed out edited and the words sound beautiful as i resite them in my head but my thoughts stay in my head and i think and i walk and i bump into strangers and heear them mumble under their breath i admire the smell of characters nowsoakinginto my clothes i drop things on the side walk while im walking and i pick them up god im awkaward the lights from the stores dim everythings closing im rushing to get home but not rushing at the same time im in the street again im getting beeped at again i write down some words on the back of my hand i love this city the sidewalks the horns the blue car races off i admire the sound the color the smell of the earth dying i reach my house i sit on my porch and watch the world take a nap as the moon is just waking up
