The Creatures of Aberdeen
It was a dark night on the coast of Aberdeen The moon illuminated the rough, barren ground And the distant howl of a wolf could be heard for miles There was a light mist in the air Just enough to make it damp And the waves crashed upon the rocks lining the shore As the ocean sprayed up from their crevices... A young man, couldn’t have been older than twenty Sat on a pile of rocks, perched like a bird As I approached him, I began to speak.... "Good day, Friend!" I said to him He said nothing. "Good Day, Friend!!" I said, this time a little louder Still, He said nothing. Confused, I approached him further Until I was standing at the base of the rocks.... Determined to identify this man, I began to climb And after what seemed like forever, I reached the top I walked up behind the man, and tapped him on the shoulder And when he turned around, what I saw was not fit for human eyes He had long fangs, like railroad spikes for teeth He had long claws at the ends of his fingers, razor sharp But His eyes... Oh his eyes were something from hell... Fiery red and black, they were like dark pits They were captivating, and I could not tear my gaze from them... Finally, I ran As fast as I possibly could, I needed to get away Away from that hellish beast, anywhere I was new in town, and I new not where to hide As I wandered through town, panic stricken and terrified I came upon a tavern A large wooden building with 2 windows on either side of the door And a large sign that read... "Aberdeen Tavern" hanging beside the door I ran in and sat beside a cloaked stranger Eager to tell someone my ghastly tail I tapped the stranger on the shoulder And when he turned around, what I saw was not fit for human eyes...... **I don't live in or have ever been to Aberdeen, Scotland I just used the name pretty much.I wanted to give it a Small Celtic town Feel. Timeset is Medieval.
