The Dark Room

·TheNightShift

He sits alone in the dark room He sits in his world full of pain He sits in a cloud of blackness He sits and starts crying again He sits and he suffers in misery He sits in his gloom and despair He sits and whispers her name He sits in a world that’s unfair She left him without a goodbye She left him sobbing in sorrow She left him steeped in self pity She left him with no tomorrow He waits alone in the dark room He waits huddled up on the floor He waits hoping she will return He waits for her key in the door He weeps now she’s gone forever He weeps knowing there’s no hope He weeps as he’s writing a letter He weeps as he’s knotting a rope
