The Dark Wolf From "Nightfall" A Sonnet I stalk you patiently and leave in silence feral and dangerous jade eyed and silver So you desire to haunt my tracks left in the pearly white snow? and forget about what my den lacks I need no mate this I know And I need no pups I'll leave no trace I need no pack (I hunt alone) to comfort me through the winters I must face all that inhabits my den is bone However I'am familiar to your scent the dark wolf's lament
