The Decadent Prince

·Absinthe Friend

The Decadent Prince is holding court, roses and wine take the day, reciting verse of debaucherous flesh, absinthe and laudanum play. Inhaling smoke of opium pipe exhaling cares and constraint, unfettered we dance with the spirit of id goodbye to morbid restraint. The morrow may call with aching mind, we may lose some hours of this coil, but the Decadent Prince, dances on in his dream unhindered by mortal man's toil. Take your poison and sing, raise your hemlock on high, to the prince we will give up our toast, "For the decadent Prince!" We will lay down our lives To become the most unholy ghosts. So rut and imbibe of lust's treasure trove, take your sin as medicinal balm, be angry, be vulgar, be lurid and drunk, but be blessed with a rogue's naked charm. when the prince has long gone, and these days are long past and your limbs ache and body is bent, Look back on these times of laughter and love and remember those days, decadent!!
