The Distance

09 Aug 2009

·Kolene

Pushing back salty tears Months seem like years Holding on to sweet dreams Coming apart at the seems Loving, wanting, needing Zeal and energy depleting Hoping, believing, waiting Expectations abating Telling myself I will cry for you, nevermore As my next teardrop caresses the floor Trying to stay focused on the prize Putting on my 'happy disguise' Never has there been such a love so pure The distance I must endure
