The Dreamer: Blind By What Was Once So Cold
Whenever I see you, I can hear a distant music play, It plays in the key of E minor and it spills what I need to say An explosion triggers a fanatical smile within me, It makes me wonder what I need to do become what you need to me to be, You prove that I can love again, but you can only see through my exterior, I never knew love could be so complex and never realised it could tug at your interior. It’s like a design that death has created, like he’s waving a scythe in your face Telling you that your time is nigh and that a new baby born is ready to take your place. To me you’re like a solo of the true musician, Intricate, passionate and full of free flowing vision Different from any other, at least that what it seems like to me? Maybe I’m blinded by such beauty that your pessimism is almost impossible to see, For all I know is that you could be queen bitch, Cold as ice and ignorant, but instead of the thorn in my side, you’re a tolerable stitch That can be taken out with such careful precision. What I decide to believe is my own damned decision. The naivety spells immaturity, and for that reason it’s impossible for you to see that love is truly blind. I know I’m not perfect, but I’m not trying to be, All I ask for is once chance, one chance for me so that maybe, I can try, Try and be what you want me to be.
