The face of freedom
There has never been a doubt in my mind That we live in a country where we are free We are able to practice a religion of our kind And we can voice our opinion, even if we disagree. We learn to respect and accept one another, to a degree We have our differences but we try to set those aside Every day we strive to live a good life, always with integrity We protect our land with all our might, standing side by side. The white, the brown, the black, and all other ethnicities We must choose to forgive the past and live for today To find happiness and joy we must get rid of the toxicities That hardens our hearts and corrupt our mind every day. We must be willing to love each other without conditions To learn to live with each other in complete harmony And not fight or kill each other for our political positions We are the "United States of America" let's learn to live in Unity.
