The File Closer

"The File Closer" Every army used them, as a battle necessity. The dreaded file closer, to remind all who might flee. Men had fought and bravely died, but, some would run and try to hide. The file closer made it clear, "Get back in file, or die right here" The heat of battle was a scare, cannon balls flew through the air. The enemy instilled great fear, but so did the "closer",at your rear. Many men proved brave and strong, within those fighting ranks, and they are well deserving, of a nation's grateful thanks. But, sad to say, there were some, who caused us grief and shame, and drastic measures were applied to those who were to blame.
