The Fire Died

The fire is burning bright, so keep your hand in mine, we'll take them by surprise, cause this love can never die. We've kept the fire burning bright, never have to prove what we've always known to be right. My only one true love, yes I know tonight. What a shame, we saw it slip away, right away. Through my hands, and into the night. We lost so much that night when the water washed away the flame, ohh who's to blame Tell me how you walked away without a word said, say you'll never love me that way, so I can fade away. This is our story without an happy ending, So I've been getting high and found friends who won't lie, they put the love back in my heart and the hope in my eyes, helped me find the strength to push you right out of my life. So fuck the tears in your eyes the door is closed, the fire died.
