The Flower's Wish
Tip toe, Tip toe She rocks, she may flip. Slim sunshine limbs Rays dip in and out. Clear cool water teases her finger tips Rising sun pricks her scented spine hello. Who is giving her this feeling? Tummy rocks Enveloped in floor Cool, smooth, flowing base That would never let her fall. She is still, her world never moves Slim petals become a high solitary sunshine Safe and calm and smiling down On nothing and everything that ever was. One day, while casting her sweet smile on the overflowing void, Something waves back; A Glint Then a shimmer Then a torch Extends it’s hand Nods its head. Distant shiny first friend. Its sparkling salute shoots up and hits her heart. Tip toe, tip toe She rocks, will she flip? Like a Lizard, warmed by the sun Her heart rises at 6 am, And all day she is happy to bob and smile At a beloved companion of the void. One 6 am An excited heart rises with a burst Fluttering soft stomach feels pains of surprise As the beautiful first friend, First love, First heart rise Shoots out his happy shines to four, five, six Just like him Not like her. As they make their home at the bottom of her void Sparks chattering with the movement of another world A solitary sunshine is suspended above Silent still limbs extended, Ready to scream. That was the first time a flower ever wished to be a penny A sad little yellow flower, floating in a wishing well.
