The Fly In The Kitchen Light At Night
It was in the corner by the window By then it had accepted its fate It was dark and its wings entangled As it hung there it had given up I came into the kitchen not knowing It was there as I flipped the switch And all at once it remembered what It had wings for to fly in the sun My heart broke for it as it buzzed About trying with all of its might For more than flight it remembered The rich fertility stench promises Green is my favorite color and he Was it I noticed feeling guilty For giving him some false hope And I loved him in the blue moon
