the graduate's song
We have gone through the scorching fire, We have stood the thorny rain, We have climbed the mountain’s height, And have swam the ocean’s depth. We have burn the night candles And have worked our youthful eyes. We have gone the white skinned’s way And have tarried in the learning city, The vastness of the ‘versity We have in our faculty. Haven gone the way of student-hood We wear the signet on the wood. Not a few have fallen by the way Some to nature some to fate. Giants have gone with the wind, Valiant men with the flood. But we have race the unending like race And have humbly paid the price. Thumbs up to all our masters, Who for us their brains opened. No thanks to the merchants of death And the unfriendly union strikes Which sat us idle With unrewarding times. Tomorrow we hold so dear In our heart so clear, We seat on the mountain’s height As we view with our sight And watch the passing night Pave way for a promising light. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Come one come all, Come non-members of our league, Join chant the victory son, To the world within we bid adieu To the one without, make way for us.
