The High Girl and the Low Boy
I’m busy in my head right now My thoughts are in a wild chase You keep trying to talk to me I’m not really looking at your face. I’m imagining a massage right now My muscles tingle under invisible hands You’re trying to get to know the “real” me But she’s off in distant lands. I’m trying to relax right now You’re thinking of under my clothes You’ve given up on talking You’re a less patient boy than most. I’m absorbing all the music now Each guitar string pricks my skin A smile melts across my face And you assume it means you’re in. I just want to ride my wave right now Please go hunt some other girl If I wasn’t higher than the ceiling Your attempts would make me hurl.
