The Hope of The World
The Hope of The World Her eyes are pools of chocolate And in them I can see… The future of the world we know And what its hope might be. Her hair is like the ocean waves, Its movements, smooth and bright. Flaxen tendrils breaking shore Upon her shoulders tan and light. The way she moves intrigues me... She bounds with graceful spring! And when the music fills her heart, She'll dance and twirl and sing. Her Barbie doll’sher princess, who wears a sparkling crown. She’ll fantasize for hours, And never put her down. Little girls need regal dreams, To help them through the years; Times when they might feel alone... And times, when they have fears. Today she picks a movie, And when the sad part comes, A little pout forms on her face... She instantly succumbs. I love to sit…and take her in. Great joy fills up my heart. I say a prayer of thanks to God, Our family she’s a part. (For My Sweet Grandaughter...Kenlee Mae) IlaMae Stucki © 5/20/10

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
