The House

When all of the world seems to gang up on you, and there's no-one you think you can trust, you seenothing right with the things that you do, and your dreams seem to fade into dust. The pain gets too much for you to control, your scars seem to bite all the more, you feel like you're losing a part of your soul as your life turns from cheer to a chore. There is a place where we all can go, where all of our friends are alive, the house is lit up with a bright warm glow and welcomes you when you arrive. Your pain melts away as you pass through the door, awarm breeze seems blow in your face, you feel like nothing can hurt anymore, as you walk in the light of God's grace. "You are safe now my child, and your spirit is free." A voice says to you in your head, The peaceful house is where we will meet, andwe'll rest when at last we are dead. This poem is based on the song "Come on up to the house" by Tom Waits.
