The IInmate
He wanders the asylum halls He draws with crayon on the walls The wardens grab him by the balls And throw him in his cell He holds his head in deep despair Nobody wants know or care His hands are pulling out his hair He thinks he’s gone to Hell Why did life treat him so bad? To twist his mind and send him mad He thinks of things that he once had And now he’s just a freak Did he commit some kind of sin To end up in this loony bin? Saliva dribbles down his chin And tears roll down his cheek He thinks of momma’s warm embrace He yearns to see her smiling face Why does she not come to this place? And why cant he be sane? He sits and cries in gloomy light He screams and howls into the night And asks God does he think it’s right To have a damaged brain? He hurls himself into the wall He bounces off and takes a fall His head hits the urinal stall And no one could care less The wardens come along next day They find the inmate passed away ‘One more bites the dust’ they say Now let’s clear up this mess’
