The Initiate

The Hermetic Secrets will all be yours When once the time is right I'll teach you runes and pentagrams And magick done at night. I'll show you Secrets of several stars, The bear, the ox, the plough But, ah, my boy, I'm growing old So first, you'll milk the cow. By alchemical arts I take base lead And then transmute to gold But first I need a roaring flame My feet are getting cold. The cauldron we stir with a runcible spoon And fill with herbs and spleens And then the room turns blue with smoke The chimneys want a clean Colourious water, in rhythm, drips Caught in a Persian bowl The drippling drops fall from the roof So, go, and fix the hole. The Hermetic Secrets will all be yours At last, the time has come So lean in close my beamish boy I tell you, there are none.
