THE LAST RODEO * Sexual metaphors drip heavily like bearded clams into a sea of saltwater remorse as harsh words pass back and forth What's worse? The loss of words, stunned silence permeating the cavernous emptiness? Emptiness equaled only by the depth of our very own pockets, as hollow emotions and spent ideologies pile up like the bills stacked forgotten and unopened, their purpose rendered useless, the divide becomes more apparent and wider wider than the equator, as we go naked into the night back, from whence we came again, alone. alone at the last Rodeo. * WordPlaya, April 2009
