THE LIFE OF ROSES

THE LIFE OF ROSES * The pure rose in bud it's innocence apparent, like a newborns cry it's petals drip with dew. * The awakening rose whose beauty unfurls, like an adolescent girl stirred fromher dreams. The insects all seek to open itfurther and soon she will succumb. * The buxom rose plump and luscious, knowing the power ofher own allure, steeped in aroma and drowning in it's own essence * The mature rose Just on the cusp ofher gentle decline. Beauty completely open, yetsad in the knowing, that the best is now over. * The older rose bare, withered and limp, All that's left is the hip to start the birth anew. * WordPlaya, May 2009
