The Lit Archway
I like the way you shake your tail, darling You catch me with my eyes wide open And with the wind in my ears I took great care at building the balcony Foreseen your shoulders were Framed in the dark I saw what you did there I built the walls that should surround you Before you moved in graceful purpose Into the scene I cut the stone out for you I am glad to see that you still fit right in The moonlit eyes locked onto you Becoming you flows over The last window of torn sky hangs in Having passed its thrill it had Taken its own electric vitality Garden overgrown filled with what is written! The undying want of what comes to you stands defeated Crumpled down upon its own dust pile pedestal
