The Lord and Me

I wrote this as a defiant poem to give comfort and hope for those suffering abuse. The Lord and Me. Go on again if you have to, but you have no idea what the opposition will be. This time I am not alone. This time you face the Lord with me. Yes, He is right there at my shoulder, so go on throw those words or that blow because we are both here we can take it, no suffering my Lord does not know. And don’t you go thinking that you can fool him like I have allowed you to do so to me. He knows every trick in the book, every thought or regret He does see. So go on ahead if you have to, for there is nothing that you do just to me and you have no idea what you are up against, this time it’s the Lord and me. Jayne McDonough 2008©.
