THE LUCK OF THE IRISH * Biding our time in an old Irish pub, with my very best friend and we’re drinking them up. * A man sits down with his tablet and pen. and we’re having a blast Since the beers are on him. * I want to say thanks, but not interrupt. so, as beers flow like water we keep drinking up. * If I didn't know better, I'd think he was listening. To just about everything on what we weresaying. * So we laugh and we talk, till we're peeing our pants, as sometimes happens, amongst old friends. * Finally stupefied, we need to go home. So I whisper in his ear "thanks for the beer" * Uh..we'recurious to know, what it is you’re writing? You a private investigator? for cheatinghousewives? * I'm writing a sketch for the eight-o’clock show, and you've just given me, a wealth of material. * What show are you doing? I'm atthe comedy shack. Here's two complimentary tickets, we'll meet upoutback. * But we didn't go. No, we drove straight home. Since we’d rather not know we’re the butt of all jokes * WordPlaya, Dec 2008
