The man in the shadows

This is my first ever piece, so I hope you enjoy it: The man in the shadows was stalking, Stalking for his prey, Her pace slowed to walking, Then she turned the wrong way. The man in the shadows was stalking, The woman had no idea, His eyes started hawking, Thinking about his deer. The man in the shadows pounced, His face full of fury, With one swift slice her body bounced, It was time to face the jury. The man in the shadows fled, Into the open night, He remembered the day they wed, Back when he felt the light. The man in the light was smiling, Waiting for his bride, His eyes were full of pining, Alas that night she died. The man in the shadows was grieving, He knew what he had lost, He started disbelieving, His heart begun to turn to frost. The man in purgatory was caught, He was no-one without his sweet, How can anyone be happy he thought, The transformation was complete. The man in the shadows stopped dreaming, He couldn't get the picture out his head, His mind turned to scheming, Revenge on the man in the bed. The man in the shadows was stalking, Stalking for his prey, The man on the phone was talking, All inhibitions went away. The man in the shadows jumped out, He begun to draw his knife, He was ready to hit with clout, And then he saw his wife. The man in the shadows stared, The woman was pleading, He thought that she had cared, Again his heart started bleeding. The man in the shadows froze, His face full of thought, His eyes glared at his foes, He thought he had killed her. The man in the shadows collapsed, The woman stabbed him with all her might, For her love for him had elapsed, And with that she sunk back into the night.
