The Masquerade A sonnet Stunning red ribbon and dark color scheme Bright flashing lights and dirty earth's theme time is merry or so it would seem A uniting of ecstasy and love, a dream Though the lovers did dance seldom they spoke He was seeing demons,though he was blind She tried to speak but her voice broke separately they were by the worlds lies Outside the promemade opposite they stood she was standing there with someone they know Begged her to see if only she could In their choices each life did flow A fitting question few did ask why did they choose love behind masks?
