The Omniscient One
The Omniscient One The Omniscient One lies there, All knowing and hearing, Always thinking, Yet never speaking. His wisdom and experience, Are second to none, For He has seen battles, Lost and won. Indeed he is the grandfather of all, Fathering the homeless and poor. Yet he is cursed, To live as he does, Forever spinning, In an endless cycle. And as we grow, So he does shrink, Plagued by artificial hands. And if you confronted him, He will not grant you trial, For he slumbers in unyielding, Graceful denial. Though he sleeps, His beauty is kept alive, And the ones, who love him, Contentedly thrive. Ryan Golledge 15
