the orgasm
a marsh bird hides in cattails, allusive and brown. suddenly, the desire to stay loose. the urge to catch a breath, let it go, swallow, then swell. a swoop imposes upon a fat, setting sun like a bird unidentified. stay loose. a dream of trees, night play hide and seek. a pebble is thrown onto water, it skips three times, descends, and rich, disruptive ripples tear through the seriousness like a child’s laughter.
