The Perfect Hand.

(My boyfriend is playing his cards really good lately lol, put it this way today he had my knees growing weak. Any ways this poem was written for him. It’s just another free verse its not my best but I tried.) I lean in to kiss you, Not even thinking, Then it hits me, What if I am wrong? And you don’t want this. I pull back, Turn my head from you, Look to the dashboard, And hide my shame. In a second I feel you, Your eyes upon me, Your hand follows. Your hand, So warm upon my cheek. You lift my head, And kiss me soft and sweet, You look deep into my eyes, There is nothing I can hide. You see it all, And once again you kiss me. It doesn’t strike you, The fear you see. You pull me in, and whisper, I love you. You don’t have to say it, But you do. In this moment I feel it, And from your lips in flows. My knees grow weak, And my heart is in my throat, You’ve played it, Like a perfect hand you played, And how you played it so well, I've fallen, You’ve caught me, No longer may I hide that, I am yours. My fragile heart, I give to you, Please don’t break me.
