The Price of Freedom

The Price of Freedom So much destruction, in the name of peace From the ashes rises a new hope When will the chaos cease How many have to fall victim to the addiction The addiction to death, to war and to loss For your nation, march to the front For your flag, dead at the cross Your blood will flow, a tribute to the success Your body, and soul, only a vice Will our greedy ways ever end? How many men must pay the price? The ultimate cost, the end of life Separation from the head One by one, they begin to fall No remorse, to be had for the dead Another mark on the wall of life Spilt blood and pride Siphoned by the unforgiving knife As it pierces the flesh of the innocent man Fall victim, for the senseless reason The price of freedom, a costly vow Look no more, to the clouds of possibility Next in line, step up now.
