The Quiet Heart
In the silence of the fleeting hour, When words were soft, and hearts were flowers, We stood at the edge of something real, But time had its grip, and we couldn’t heal. You sat with a shy, tender grace, A laugh in your eyes, a smile on your face, We danced in the space between hello and goodbye, Where the heart spoke truths that the lips could deny. The warmth of your touch, the softness you gave, I held it close, though the world was a wave, In that tender moment, on shoulders you leaned, Our worlds collided, like stars unseen. But the wind called us back, to places unknown, To paths not our own, where seeds were not sown. Still, somewhere deep, in the quiet and still, There’s a love that remains, unspoken, until... The silence became the loudest of cries, And we both wore the weight of unspoken goodbyes. Yet I never could bring myself to hate, For love is a song that transcends fate. In the echoes of what could never be, I find peace in the memories, wild and free. A love that was pure, a love that was kind, Forever a part of the heart I must find. For maybe in another life, or when worlds collide, We’ll see the truth of the hearts we can’t hide. And in that quiet, sacred space, We'll meet again, with no time to erase.

I'm trying to be more humble and kind, by speaking out my unspoken complaints, and grievances here.
