The Rainbow’s Song
The rain has passed, it couldn’t last, the sun isn’t shy, it’s returning to the sky. Now I hear the rainbow’s song, murmuring soft and slow and long it’s soothing and sublime, a melody from back in time. Everyone can hear it. there’s no need to fear it, each pick your kind of tune, be it punk or be it croon, the rainbow is accommodating, good for dancing or for mating. Rainbow, please don’t go away, stay for an encore to end the day, but it won’t tarry long, it will be here, then it’s gone, so celebrate it while you can, pass its cheer to your fellow man, this thing that plays with light, that changes dark days into bright.
