The Reef "Rocks” It pleadsto. me to come, And there I try to pass But only in my memories mind... I find this place, so calm and kind. Where waterazure blue doesswell, Along the rolling coasted cliffs.. And rocks jut up above the sand They harbor reef and ocean grand. The coral garden waves and smiles... Where waves proceed with care. When one dunks in they’ll surely find,. The rainbow treasures left behind Flecks of sequins flitter by Colored rays of languid light Purple fingers wave “hello” A friendly place you’ll want to go. A psychedelic light show Yellow, green and fiery red, Orange, violet, royal blue blendto create an awesome hue Little creatures flit and fly Causing flashes to the eye And in the darkness they will hide While others dangersthere provide. Why violate this beauty? Why kill its heart and soul? I’d like to see a brand new birth Come back to save the saddened earth. IlaMae Stucki © 5/19/10

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
