The Remembering
This day so long ago they say the guns stopped firing, Why then does September still ring fresh? Each September of yester-year still reflected in smoke. Don't get me wrong, It's definitely important to continue each fallen song, In the hope of re-enforcing the reason these wars cannot go on. But while we do it with attempt, Of stopping each friend and brother or sister from falling, Again, Again, Again, And Over Again. What use is there in The Remembering? This day so long ago they say, The sound of gunfire faded. I hope that one day that day so long ago arrives.
